I must say, I enjoyed that review. I feel lik...K, <br /><br />I must say, I enjoyed that review. I feel like having a lot of the language of the books gives a "feel" for it, maybe in a different way than a summary, but still it was good! The author seems to have a good mix of the flowery and succinct in his sentences, which I also like. <br /><br />THE WALL thing is totally messed up. No, I had never heard of that before, and it doesn't surprise me in the least that they don't advertise that much. Sheesh. That's awful! Yay modern America. We northerners like to pretend that segregation wasn't as powerful up here---and it wasn't in many ways, but it was certainly still a huge presence in the life of big American cities. Have a recommended "The Warmth of Other Suns" to you on this topic? <br /><br />I'm off to watch that Detroit Olympics video.
