Last year, I picked up a book called <i>Matterhorn</i> also about Vietnam. Now I want to read that, too. Although your review is compelling, I don't think I could read this book. I've never been able to stomach movies, TV shows, or books about Vietnam. <br /><br />As amazing as this one sounds, I think I have to continue with my lifelong "no Vietnam stories" plan. I'm glad we have this blog so we can "read" books vicariously through one another. :) Meanwhile, I just finished <i>Wind-up Bird Chronicle</i> and I know my review is not going to even come close to doing that book justice.
